Another Aesthetics is Possible: Jennifer Ponce de León and Colleen Lye in Conversation
The conviction that “another world is possible” points us toward a world beyond capitalism and colonialism. What role can art and aesthetics have in the collective labor of creating and defending this other possible world?

Jennifer Ponce de León discusses her recently published book, Another Aesthetics Is Possible: Arts of Rebellion in the Fourth World War (Duke University Press, 2021), with Dr. Colleen Lye in a conversation about aesthetics and anti-capitalist politics and the role of culture in contemporary class struggles.

This is the eleventh event in our year-long season dedicated to thinking about our contemporary moment through the lens of Cecilia Vicuña's work.
