December 8, 2021 –
March 30, 2022
Lorraine O’Grady Film Club, hosted by Selam Bekele and Meghan Smith
Over the next few months, we watch a selection of films and connect them to the vast web of concepts, themes, and questions in Lorraine O’Grady’s artistic practice.

For decades, O’Grady has used the diptych format to produce new meanings through juxtaposition. Before each screening, we share some thoughts and images from her practice to consider “alongside” the film. How can we watch, think, and learn about each film differently in conversation with her work?

Viewers are invited to share their own perspectives, ask questions, and shape our collective conversation as the film club progresses.
