Professor Shannon Jackson gives a lecture on the work of Andrea Fraser. Jackson has previously written about Fraser’s acting technique as a key tool in the "double game" of artistic investment and critical disavowal within the institutions of art.

Shannon Jackson is the Cyrus and Michele Hadidi Chair in the Humanities at the University of California, Berkeley, where she is Professor of Rhetoric and of Theater, Dance and Performance Studies.

This is the first event in our year-long season about and around the work of Andrea Fraser.
