A Contemporary Cabinet of Curiosities: Selections from the Vicki and Kent Logan Collection draws on the tradition of the Wunderkammer, or cabinet of curiosities precursor to the modern museum. These artworks blur the distinction between aesthetic and scientific display, while also focusing on the nature of collecting and collections.
With an essay by Ralph Rugoff, director of the CCAC Wattis Institute; artist biographies; and a list of works in the exhibition.
